Safety First

Safety in a swimming environment has to be the number one priority. All our teachers are Level 2 qualified and always are either water safety trained, or a lifeguard will be present to support them. We want all swimmers from PoolSchools to be safe in and around water and benefit from the essential life skill that is swimming. Our teachers are in the water for all our Fundamental and Parent and child classes meaning they can be there to give the reassurance your swimmer may need in their first steps of learning.

We are proud to have a team consisting of passionate swim teachers who are always looking to motivate and support swimmers of all ages and abilities. All our lessons are structured but fun with a focus on building the fundamental skills.

Small Class Sizes

One of the key reasons parents choose to swim with PoolSchools is the small group sizes. Smaller class sizes mean each swimmer can receive more feedback and have more attempts at completing each skill, as well as spending more time travelling during their lessons.

Classes for All

We offer lessons for anyone aged 3 and above including adults (or even 2 at some venues). No matter what ability you or your swimmer has when they join there will be a class suitable for their swimming needs. Ranging from parent and child classes, advanced level classes to adult lessons for you to keep up with your little ones.

Fun and Positive Environment

PoolSchools creates a positive, supportive atmosphere where learning is enjoyable and achievements are celebrated. We want all our swimmers to look forward to every lesson and enjoy the process of learning how to swim. All our Fundamental level lessons (F1-4) are themed each week to engage swimmers in the activities of the lesson without thinking about trying new things. All venues have a selfie frame for our star of the week to share their achievements as well as all swimmers moving up a class receive an online certificate.

Structured Lessons for Development

PoolSchools follow the Aquaquacks swim scheme and its structure. The first 7 weeks of every term all teachers are provided with the criteria they need to cover the ensure all skills are covered. From week 8 our teachers plan their lessons based around the need of the swimmers in each class individually to try and help swimmers progress as much as possible. With assessments being continuous throughout the term you can have the peace of mind that your swimmer is progressing.

Flexible Times & Locations

With 11 venues running between Essex, Kent, Surrey and West Sussex we hope to be able to accommodate as many swimmers needs as possible. We understand children do many activities, so we enable swimmers to move their times or days for the next term through our request to change process, before we intake any new swimmers. We also allow movement of classes up to week 3 of any term.
